The motor will start first crank everytime and on the first start of the day motor runs fine but after running down the lake and then letting it sit for a while(hour or more) it still starts right up but when you put it in forward and accelerate it dies. The motor sounds as if it is not getting any fuel, I have learned that if I let it idle for about 5 minutes it runs great again. I thought there might be a problem with the bulb on the fuel line because sometimes it seems to be to soft, should it ever be soft? Any ideas on what would be causing this? Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated!!

you pump the bulb to get gas to the fuel pump and carbs. once the motor starts, the fuel pump starts to suck fuel from tank, and the bulb goes soft.

i would try pumping the bulb to hard when try your second start. that will tell us a lot, as where to go from there.
