Hi if I could get some help on this issue it would be great. I have been reading these forums like crazy and notice quite a few people are getting the same issue with their motors as I am.
The problem
At over 3500rpms for 10 mins or so the hot alarm will come on but clear off after taking it back to idle.
now I have seen good ideas for solutions like changing out the thermostat's and water pumps but I'm starting to think its a lack of fuel getting into the motor. SLOW is something I've read a little about but don't really understand. But what I know is that I have checked the flow from my tank with just a hose and a bulb and it was good, then after hooking up the fuel water separator and the motors fuel hose the bulb would not draw fuel until I disconnected it and pointed it straight up, then connected it back and the motor would run ok for a while. then stall out or go hot.... I had water in the tank but have cleaned it out and I have a new fuel pump that I know works. I feel like there's not correct venting allowing the pump to draw fuel from the tank but really have no clue. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
