2000 Johnson 90hp vro question

I have a 2000 model Johnson 90 and i was getting the long beep alarm and no oil light. I disconnected the oil tank, plug comming from the pump with 5 wires, and the plug comming from the oil tank. I then mixed my fuel 50:1. here is the pproblem: I am still getting the long beep and no oil light. Am i missing another wire that I need to unplug? I intend on keeping the vro system unhooked and premixing my gas from now on.

The gauge can be bad.

Did you try disconnecting the 2 temp switches to see if the alarm stops?
Also be sure no wires you disconnected are grounding.....
