Replaced ignition switch because of bad kill switch, but it did'nt fix the problem. Someone told me of a sensor on the flywheel that will stop fire to the plugs. Anyone familiar with it and if so is there any way to test it ? Fishin's hot and I'm stuck in da back yard ! Thanks for any help.

i had a similar problem with an evinrude i bought. the previous owner had removed the wire that conects the safety switch to a ground. if you have an owners manual, look up safety switchs. for a quick check to see if this is the problem, look under the flywheel to see if there are any unplugged wires or plugs that look like they should have wires.

good luck and happy fishin

Why did you replace the ignition switch if the kill switch was bad?

Anyway -- which 90 do you have? Post the model number so were all on the same page. Or at least the same chapter......

Good luck!
