2000 mercruiser 5.7 water drains

I picked up my new boat yesterday and the dealership ran it for me and the took out the water drain plugs. There is 5 of them . What is the best way to find where they go

A serial number of your engine would help a bunch. It probably has a Bravo drive but let us know if that is not the case. Does it have closed or open cooling? Without that there should be one on each side of the block, one on each exhaust manifold, and one on the power steering cooler.

It's open cooling and it's an alpha drive. He said there was one on each manifold and each side of the block and one on the front. But it's hard to see the exact locations

Ayuh,.... Put the muffs on it, 'n Fire it up,...

The holes the plugs go into will be quite Obvious in a few seconds,...

I like Bondo's suggestion, just make sure you don't have the plug in, otherwise your nice boat will turn quickly into an expensive upholstery covered sitting pool.
