2000 Nissan25C3

My motor is cutting out on me a few seconds after I put it in gear and give it gas. The bulb stays hard and it idles fine when its in neutral. I checked the fuse and all the electrical seems fine. I've added HEET to my tank but have not been back to the lake to test if water is in the tank. What else can I check?

don't know the engine but if it has a bystarter instead of a conventional choke that may be the problem or ....

air leak in carb throttle axle........ dirt in high speed jet / mixer so as soon as you got off the carb idle curcuit ..... no fuel so it dies ....... clean out carb real well ...if improves do it again until normal ...if repeated carb cleaning does not solve the problem you need a new carb but if you get it running at 3/4 throttle could be a fuel pump problem also ...
