2000 Smokercraft Pro Mag 162...Questions/Issues?

I have found what I believe is a great deal on a 2000 smokercraft 162 pro mag with a 25 hp suzuki.

I have been unable to find any pics or good information on the web about this model. If anyone has any reference pics or a good site for information would be much appreciated. I am also wondering if there have been any major problems with this model that I should be concerned about. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Very good boats.

Not sure I would want one with only a 25 on the back.

And make sure you can get service for that Suzuki locally, there are not a lot of dealers in some parts of the country.

Smokercraft and Sylvan were very similar hulls and while not at the top of the "boat food chain" they were very reasonably priced and are reliable boats. A 25 HP motor however is way too small in my view. The boat needs a 40 HP minimum.

I did see this, but it is for the newer models....was looking for something around 2000.

A friend has that boat, probably around a 2000, with a 25hp Honda 4stroke. It's a fairly heavy boat, and is way underpowered with the 25. It was sold as a "Quabbin special". Quabbin reservoir in Mass has a 25hp limit, you see a lot of that style boat there. I've fished out of it quite a bit. Quite stable for 16', fishes well, but can't say how well it handles, it doesn't go fast enough to tell. I have an old 25hp Johnson 2 stroke, that I think would push it faster than the Honda. Not familiar with the Suzukis.
