This is a used motor new to me, I hooked it up with all the factory wiring harnesses and controls. it starts right up, idles good, when i give it gas it bogs, if i pump the throttle it will rev up, once it revs up it will stay there, just cant get there without pumping the throttle, seems to do better when its warmed up. I have removed the vst and cleaned it and replaced the filter on the bottom of the pump, the vst was full of fuel . It has 32 psi which seems low. i checked and cleaned the strainer behind the regulator also, i installed new plugs, Im going to clean the o2 sensor after i post this, what about the throttle position sensor? im really not sure where to go with this? its all new gas (100 gallons), new fuel line from tank to engine, new oil tank with fresh oil. this is all still on the trailer,
Help

so after cleaning the 02 sensor, it stopped bogging, but now when i first start it. it idles at 800 then within 30 seconds or so it goes to 1200-1300. and stays there

anyone? yesterday I put some fuel injector cleaner and gas in a small tank and ran it on muffs for aver an hour, with an occasional rpm change. seemed like it really helped. now it doesn't bog . This morning i finally put it in the water for the first time. it idled out beautifully, the first time i gave it throttle it bogged, i played with the throttle and it started to go, i was able to get to 3500rpm but its not right , ran rough , surges, sounds like its missing. im not sure where to go from here, dirty injectors? bad injectors? maybe ill pull them out. if it were carbuerated id say the carbs are dirty, am i missing something here? maybe the tps?

ok.... is this thing working or am i being ignored?
so i tested every sensor except 02 which i previously cleaned. i adjusted the tps sensor, i found the knock sensor unplugged, i pulled out the injectors and checked the filter in the end and it was clean, the injectors looked brand new, of course i cant see the inside. all sensors check good except air temperature sensor. only read 1.7v. at 90 degrees. i will get a new one tomorrow. when i removed the ecu cover i found 2 broke wires , i repaired them, went and put boat in the water with high anticipation and it runs beautifull, no smoke , no noise, when i gave it throttle it ran smooth , no bogg, but would not go over 3400 rpms, i wonder .... now that i have the bogg issue worked out if the low fuel pressure is the cause . 32psi, i will get a new hp pump and 3 new lp pumps n see, if anything that will give me pieece of mind when im 40 miles out.
anyone? anyone??

I know you cleaned the O2 sensor but did you test it? Yamaha has a test harness for the test.

I did not test it, i need too. i did however change the low pressure pumps yesterday and the air temperature sensor , but i took it out today and same problem, no different , i pumped the primer bulb, no change, so i took the cover off, ran it wot squirted gas in the intake and there was no rpm change. it stayed at 3500, i squirted fuel into the intake several times, and no change whatsoever. SOOO my caveman thinking leads me to believe it must be ignition? cause if it were starving for fuel it would have increased in rpm when i squirted fuel into the intake..............................
