i have a 2001 mercury 125hp on a 1999 nitro 700 lx dc.
i recently added the cobra 5 1/2" setback manual jackplate.
i believe i am set to about 5" below pad at the moment. rpms were around 5400 wot and i did hear slight spurts of cavitation and over rev.
had light load. me 165lbs. wife 130lbs
no tackle.
aluminum prop but unknown size(just bought boat 1 year ago.) looks 19ish.
added jaskplate to minimize porpoising. helps, but i am thinking i need to lower the engine about 1/4-1/2".
trim has 3 positions marked by red line. dwn/up/and even or middle.
5400 rpms wot with even trim.
how should this setup be? looking for recommendations.
