have an constant alarm going off that driving me crazy. serial # OT274600! have replaced popit valve and impeller blade . so i started looking at oil side and noticed the oil reservoir was only 3/4 full. is this normal or should it be full! thinking i may need to purge it? thanks for any ideas on my problem!

is the beeping alarm steady or intermittent ? A steady beep= overheat. an interittent beep is an oil problem. An oil resevior filled at 3/4 should not be a problem.

steady alarm. hopefully its fixed now. i replaced water pump base ,gaskets and impeller. i noticed that i had some oil laying around the bottom cowl. found a loose cap on oil reservoir. tighten her back up. if i get the alarm back, i'll pull and test thermostats.is there anything else i should look at cooling wise? thanks for the reply sullmate!
