2001 225 OX66 Yamaha

I have a problem. When Im at WOT the engine runs fine but sometimes will loose power for a second and come back. If im WOT on a smooth chop it wont do it that much but if I hit a wave it looses power for a second and come back.
What I mean by loosing power Im at 5200 RPM then it will go to 0 RPM and come back to 5200RPM. What could it be?

check fuel rail pressure, your describing a lack of rail pressure.
could be a clogged VST filter,bad lift pumps or a restriction in the fuel system.
if the VST filter hasnt been cleaned in the past year or 200 hours then clean it anyway.

Finally the problem was the in-line filter I had on the line. It was getting air bubbles and causing engine to loose power. Took it off ran awsome.
