2001 250hp EFI saltwater series II-NO FIRE ON STARBOARD BANK

Hey guys...I'm new to the forum...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Motor is a 2001 250hp EFI saltwater series II. Motor cranks and idles ok. When you give it gas it's real sluggish. Tested the spark and sure enough the starboard bank has no fire...port bank IS firing fine. Sounded like a stator or powerpack to me, but others told me possibly O2 sensor or knock sensor (because when it was running fine last week it did make a knocking sound at idle, but the knocking stopped when you get in the gas). Maybe the starboard bank is not firing for a reason and the knock sensor needs replaced? I have a volt meter, etc if anyone can give me any insight on how to get to the bottom of this. How did you test the spark? This engine won't 'idle fine' with just three cylinders, it'll be rough as hell....and probably would start a little rough too....if you indeed don't have fire to the one bank, try swapping parts from one bank to other, should show itself easily enough...have you just gotten this motor? Something ain't making sense....

Thanks for your reply. The motor might not idle "just fine" actually...it may be a tad rough where you can tell something is wrong. It's super rough when you rev it of course. I checked spark with a spark tester. All 3 coils on one bank didnt go out obviously and the other 3 didnt. The starboard bank has no fire and the port bank all 3 are firing. It has to be something not sending fire to the starboard bank. I was basically wondering what could make that happen. Could it be the stator, powerpack, a sensor? Thanks a lot
