got a low hour 2001 25hp johnson outboard. just did new plugs and replaced the fuel line and inline filter.. starts up okay but it has always "coughed" or "sputtered" at idle. never really paid no mind to it. always rans strong in gear. for some reason it will not turn up in gear. 3500 rpms is all i get. turns up 4700 rpms in idle no problem. think i need a carb rebuild with all this ethanol stuff im hearing about? thanks!
