2001 Honda 15 can it be a 20 hp or???

I heard there is a way to make my 2001 honda 15 into a 20 hp. Has anyone done this and how is it done. If not to a 20 can it be tuned to put out more than 15 hp? <br /><br />I talked to a guy who told me that there is a plate behind the carb and if I reamed it out to the same size as the carb that would do it. I took it apart and found that the openings are the same size.<br /><br />Any ideas????<br /><br />Thanks...<br /><br />Walterpi

I just happened to notice this post and no replies. I have a Honda 15 and I was told it's a 9.9 with a larger carb so it seems unlikely you can get another 5 horses with the same trick. I'm not an expert I'm just applying logic.

I have found that outboard manifacturers use the same power head for similar hp engines , such as mercury use the same power head for their 70hp and their 80hp , and yes i have heard of conversions but from what i have heard there can be problems with the exhaust after fitting a larger carb but the increase in power is not that dramatic.
