New to the forum. Need guidance researching a honda 50, reliability, problems, what I should pay for a unit with low hrs. hat to look for, hidden gremlins etc., etc.
I paid $3200 this summer for a Honda 50 tiller with power trim&tilt and floor switch. The motor sat in the dealer's show room for a year, so had to have the carbs cleaned and adjusted. They changed fuel filter and also installed a new fuel pump. They asked if I'd pay $50 towards the fuel filter. Only other thing I know of to check is to make sure the water pump is good. It's a good running motor and pushes my little 16' Lund right along!
