Out on my 16 ft Key Largo CC last weekend. 2 out the three days the engine ran great. The last day placed engine in neutral idling when it stalled after about 5-10 minutes. Just kept fishing and 20 minutes later started the engine up and drove off. 5 Minutes later while going 10 mph the engine just died. Started up and went for another 5-10 min and then just died. This time it would not start for 15-20 min. Got it started and ran fine for the rest of the 2 hrs I was on the water. Took the boat out the other day and I ran the boat for an hour and had no problems while in gear, traveling @ aprox 3-4 rpm. I started to setup to fish and placed the boat in neutral, idle state and the engine died after about 5-10 minutes of idling once again. This time it took about 40 minutes before it would start. This time I had to take it out of gear and floor the throtle to get it started. I did notice a stronger smell of fuel this time and did see alittle bit of fuel in the engine case. I have only owned the boat for a month and a half now, and was hoping to take the family out on it. Can anyone give me some pointers. I don't want the boat to die out in LI sound with the family aboard. Thanks in advance.
