hej I am new to this side and I need some help with my merc 50 hp 2stroke 2001
it starts after priming the ball and 5 6 seconds choke
then after 5 6 seconds starts choking when cold, when hot starts and eventually dies
engine works good on higher rpm but when you approach idle speed you slow down and engine chokes, shakes, when you put on neutral dies
I clean already carbs fuel tank - on the hose was working good, on the lake the same problem, it seams like it prefers fresh than salt water in salt chokes more after all that i check the carbs again they are CLEAN i mean nothing inside clean so i have no idea what it could be, please help

I'd do a rebuild of the carbs. Are all your fuel lines good and connections good?

Don't forget to rebuild the fuel pump at the same time. It's cheap.and well worth it.If the carbs have anything in them, the fuel pump will also.
