I have a 2001 Mercury 90hp..Does anyone know the procedure for adjusting the cam to cam follower. Some how the cam flip on backward and i need to get it right with the can follower on the middle carb. I know the following:
Disconnect both shift cables
loosen the cam screw on the middle carb
aline the cam roller to the cam, tighten cam roller screw.
The only problem that I have is the pin that goes from the cam to the shiftier keeps popping out when I move the throttle. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, it seems like the cam is moving to far forward causing the pin to unsnap.
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks Mav
