I decided to rip all the nasty carpet out and use a non-skid paint (probably Rhino) to cover the exposed areas. Attached are photos of the "Blue Banana Baby" as my nine year old like to call her. Stern area is almost ready for paint. Comments and advice are always welcome!!Mike
