2001 Optimax 200HP

The boat was slipped for the hurrican season and is now back in the water. Thee Smartcraft speedometer that was fine before slipping is not working, it shows a constant 8mph. If I switch off the speedo function in the Smartcraft software the speedometer drops to zero. I believe the problem is with the Pitot tube or sensor. I cant see a small hole on the back of the gear case where I assume the pitot input should be, can anyone tell me where the pitot inlet is so I can check it for blockages?

The pitot pick-up is on the leading edge of the gearcase about an inch or so below the anti-cavitation plate.
