I have a 2001 Optimax 225 with approximately 445 hours. I was running at 5300 RPMS yesterday and then suddenly lost 500 RPMS. The motor was still running smoothly and not making any unusual noise. I brought it down and ran back around 4000 RPM without any issues. Motor starts and idles fine but i did notice the acceleration is extremely slow. Any ideas at what might be the cause? I read thru some forums and i see lots of issues with fuel filter/water separation, etc. Plz advise.
