I have a new-to-me 19 Sport Center Console, and I am installing 2 minnkota on-board battery chargers, 1 3-bank charger (MK330D) for the trolling motor (batteries in bow), and a 2 -bank charger (MK220D) for cranking & house batteries in stern.

Seems to me the most logical place to mount the charger units is inside the center console. I need to drill a few holes for mounting bolts, and also to run the wire harnesses to bow and aft...my concern is I really would be drilling holes blind, as I do not know what might be under the console, or where the best locations would be to drill the holes for the clearest path to where the wires need to go...

Does anyone know what is under the console, or what would be the best way to find out without doing any damage to what is under it?

Thanks for the help!

So you have any pictures of how you have the trolling motor mounted to you me boat? I have the same exact boat and I’m trying to figure out the best way to mount one.

I guess I should say welcome aboard, but it's kinda hard when your 1st post is in a 3+ year old thread. Start a new thread of your own.
