2001 searay 21.5 cuddy

I just picked up a Searay 21.5 cuddy cabin with 188 hours on it yesterday..it has 188 hours and has a 5.0 liter mercruiser..it is in great shape and came with a trailer..i paid $8300...did i get a good deal...it also has a Alpha 1 outdrive..it was a repo..is this a good boat..this is my fourth boat but i have never had a Searay..thanks

If the boat is like you say it is, then you did OK.

Did you get clear title?, documents in order for both boat & trailer?

clear title and i got a nice trailer to go with it..the boat was a repo and a friend of mine owns a car lot and picked it up for me..

A friend of mine has that same exact boat/power. Really nice boat. Feels much bigger than 21.5 feet. Good luck!

Youre totally right..it feels way bigger than 21.5..it is wide and tall..it rides so nice and takes the waves good

As long as you are happy with the boat and it performs to your liking, Dont worry what others think about the deal. Just enjoy the ride.

Sea Ray makes a good boat, but a lot can happen to any brand of boat in 11 years, especially a repo: the owner probably stopped paying for maintenance when he stopped making the payments.

If you don't have records of when the various rubber bits were last replaced (impeller, bellows, etc.), get these done before hitting the water.

All that being said, it sounds like a good boat at a good price if it's in good shape.

thanks for that..i was going to change the drive oil but what u said makes sense too..
