Does anyone have information on how the transom on this boat is constructed? There are OEM phillips head screws going into the transom at various points to secure it. The bottom rear inside seam between the splashwell and the inside portion of the transom. The transom appears straight, however when running the boat water gets down inside the open seam. Should I consider removing the outboard and checking the transom integrity, or just caulk/seal the seam? Does this vintage boat have an aluminum transom, or a wood/composite core?
