I need to now what a good prop would be to run on this type of motor.

It's a pushing a Tri-Haul bodied 225 pound 13ft boat.

Currently it has a 3 pronged prop on it.

Should i stick with the 3 pronged prop?

Do i need any particular pitch?

I have no idea what the difference is, i just know my prop needs replaced in the near future =)

Thanks for the help!

Re: 2001 Yamaha 9.9 Prop Question!

If you read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps on the prop store page
it will help you understand prop selection better.
A 3 "blade" is normal. There should be a number on the barrel or under the prop nut.
Number usually appears something like 9" X 9" diameter X pitch.
Feel free to ask any further questions. Prop selection can sometimes be a mystery.
