nope
only thing that controls oil is pump arm angle and engine speed.
I have seen the occasional shaft seal leak that allowed oil to bypass the pump and foul plugs on the lower cylinders.

Is the pump arm angle adjustable? I used about 1 gal in about 40 miles.
Thanks

miles are irrelavent in ANY boat engine issue.
how much fuel did you burn in that 40 miles.
thats what is relavent.
mark the remote tank, fill the fuel tank. run it 40 miles, the fill the fuel tank and record how many gallons it took, then refill the remote tank to the MARK, not below, not above.
record how much oil it took.
do a spot of math and figgure the ratio of fuel to oil used on that 40 mile trip.
thats about the only way.
as your not complaining of smoking like a skeeter fogger, oil in the splashwell after trailering or bottom 2 plugs swimming in oil I dont suspect a pump issue.
