I am looking at a 2002 Bayliner 185 with a 4.3 Merc on it with low hours (100-200). I have not seen in person but the pictures and description says "very good". Pictures make it appear new though.

Options seem to be boat cover, matching trailer, convertible top (is this the same as a bimini top?), and CD player.

Of course I want the best deal and want to know what would be a realistic final selling price for this boat. Of course any opinions on this boat would be greatly appreciated also.

Thanks.

Not sure about the current price, but I know that all of the 185's I looked at had a 3.0 4 cyl and an all wood floor with carpeting. There were other engine options, and you could get a fiberglass floor (liner) as options. Check that the floor (or deck) is solid and ask if the boat has be covered when stored. It's still a bit new to be rotted out, but llook closely. The 3L won't be super quick, probably not the ideal skiing companion, but it'll do the trick for fishing and entertaining. The 4.3 would be a much better match. I did like the overall appearance of the boat, it was will equipped for an entry level boat. We also considered them as the price was nice. These are very nicely priced little boats when new. The convertable top is actually like a camper top, if I remember right. A very nice feature for us late fall fishermen.
