Re: 2002 johnson bombardier 150
Donny check your compression, also check you spark immediately after it dies. is your primer working, do you hear a click when you have the key in the on position and push in on the key. what are you doing as your start procedure? is this motor new to you, and did this problem just start happening.
proper starting procedure for that motor,
1/ pump fuel bulb, till hard, if using aftermarket fuel line point arrow on bulb to the sky.
2/ turn key to on, push in on key for an 8 count.
3/ holding key in, turn to start. it should start.
4/ if it did not start, release key and just turn key to start.
5/ once running, you may have to push in of key to keep it running until
the motor settles, and idles on it's own.
the primer replace the choke on these motors, pushing the key in activates the primer to inject fuel directly into the intake, to enrichen the fuel/air mixture to ease starting.
will the motor start on muffs? and not in the water?
you did not answer my question about the carbs.
