2002 Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI Tow Sports Service Manual - Boat is "alarming"

Hi everyone. I apologize for a "rookie" question. I am trying my best to figure out which Mercruiser service manual is right for my particular boat.

I have a 2002 Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI TOW SPORTS. Engine Serial #0M310050

Issue with the boat:

1. Just started alarming. 2 beep every 60 seconds-ish. From google I think this is likely transmission temp related, but not sure. When I went WOT the beeping became solid alarm. Hoping a bad sensor, but this is the primary reason for needing the manual to troubleshoot and diagnose.

2. I had the steering cable replaced a couple of years ago by a shop, and have NEVER been happy. It is very difficult to turn and makes the boat hard to drive. I intend to dive into this myself to find the problem and fix it.

Thanks in advance for everyone. I "think" I need #36 or #37 manual but I am just not sure.

36 is ECM, 37 is dry joint
