2002 mercury 25 fourstroke worning buser herd once

was wondering if any one has had this problem before.this only happened nose.And ran good the rest of the day .I'm scared that it might happens agene .I idled out of a no wake zone for about 15 0r 20 minuets then got on the throat with in about 1 or 2 minuets the buzzer sounded I shut it down then restarted it don't ember if I throttled or if just ideled it but abuser sounded right away shut it down agene waited about 1 to 2 minuets started no abuser so throttled it with in 20 secants' abuser agene .but when I shut it down I herd a loud hise for a copal secants'. sounded like air trapped in the thermostat . on a car we wood bleed the air out .could this be the case. if so is there a bypass hole that could be plugged . I ordered a new thermo stat and gasket and the plate behind this .is this common the boat wasn't driven in a wall but always flushed good . a another thing the water spitting out never gets that hot and yes it had water spiting out at all times I have the factory serves' manulit doesn't show much or give any info on this problem. any help wood be grateful sore about the spelling I am using my dads computer and I have dyslexia thanks mark

[colour=blue]The loud hiss would peek my concern.

For starters, new pump and thermostat - and don't use it again until it's fixed, you could fry the powerhead.

sorry my wireless keyboard wasn't working .the hiss wasn't that loud and it bypassing water out reel fast so that it wood be some sort or bypass that lets the cylinders fill with water but not much until the thermostat opens if there is air behind thermostat it wont have any flow .I thought maybe sand or some thing was clogging this bypass .and the engine was only sitting for 3 months its used allot . thank you my father is going to lock at it this week.just trying to get some input
