WHile I'm certain somewhere in the massive forum database, there is a thread on this topic, I couldn't locate it. So please bear with me or move this to the correct forum topic.

Just took my B-I-L's aluminum Jetcraft 18' out and didn;t notice the bogging down until I loaded it onto trailer. I need thrust. But it just coughed and I had to back off the throttle by feathering low to hig back and forth to finally get some power.

After calling Mercurymarine.com, I was very lucky to find a knowleageable staff memebr who walked me though some of what I should try first. What I cannot locate is a schematic or photo of the fuel lines and their clams to hold the lines on, or how to get them off. I won't have access for awhile, so I'm asking for any help before I get to their location, which could be a week or two.

Are they easy to reach without having to remove any parts of the engine cowling other than the top? Do I need any tools that are deemed special? Are the fuel lines in this motor holding small fuel line filters? And if so, has anyone ever just removed them for good? How tough is it to reach the lower and upper fuel filters? Ditto on the fuel pump filter?

And above all where can I get a schematic of the assembled, not blown-up, schematic or photos/ I have tried and cannot even find them at mercurymarine, except an exploded view which does not help me.
