I have no spark coming out of my plug wire at all. The red light flickers when i go to start it. What could the problem be? ignition coil or kill switch?? Can i disconect the kill switch to see if thats the problem. The other coils are okay if the light flicks right?? Can someone help me

Year is no matter, model is everything. You may have an NS5A2. You need to diagnose the ignition system, with the aid of your Factory service manual, available from any dealer, including me. The ignition components are tested using a good analog ohm meter (with a battery of 3v or less). You need to check the exciter, the pulser, and the ignition coils (and their associated wiring). No, the oil LED would still flicker if the pulser was failing. Yes, for testing, you can disconnect the brown and black stop switch leads to disable the stop switch.

Did you ground the plug? You have to pull the plug then, put SP wire back on and then ground the plug as if it were screwed in the motor.
