2002 Wellcraft Martinique Cabin door rubbing

My wellcraft's cabin door is difficult to open. It looks as though the helm dropped/settled and is rubbing against the molded stairs on the door when it opens. Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea on how to fix? It looks like I'd have to pull up the entire helm just to remove the door to inspec the slides and wheels...

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2002 Wellcraft Martinique Cabin door rubbing

Hi,
Sorry to hear of you door problem, but I have a 2002 Martinique 2400 with the same problem.

I believe it was causes by standing on the door without it being completely closed, and the extra weight pulled or stripped the screws out of the top rail.

I'm not sure how to fix this, but I'm thinking it may be possible to drop the cabin ceiling trim to gain access to the rail.

I'd appreciate any information for this repair.

Mine appeared as though the helm dropped.... There are 2 screws holding down the helm at the bottom edge. I just pulled those, lifted the helm a quarter inch, drilled a pilot hole and reattached. Working fine for me now...

I ha the same problem, had to replace track system, call your local Larson dealer theycan get you the parts from a new cabrio 240. Installation was a beast but completely fixed the problem. Would have been nice if they had a ball bearing track but they do not. Explain your problem to the dealer they will have to order the part from a new hull number. Cost was about 200 for the parts. This will only work with 2002 and late model 01's.

Thanks for the info on the door rail.
Do you have any tips on doing the repair? How to get to the rail?
Thanks again.
