2002 Yamaha 115hp - # of Poles for new Tach?

I need to replace my tachometer. According to the instructions I need to set the selector switch on the back to 1/2 the number of poles. My engine is a 2002 Yamaha 115 hp outboard (115TXRA).

Can anyone tell me the numbe of poles used on this engine? I can do the calculation for the 1/2.

I have a Seloc manual, but this thing covers so many enginers and model ranges that I never seem to find what I'm looking for. Thank you in advance for the help.

12 pole,6 pulse. depends on the tach. some set with poles some with pulse.
