Im rigging a brand new boat, and as you see, the motor is a 2003 250 hpdi. Im assuming the battery requirements are the same as an optimax. group 24 1000mca (dual). If im off here please, someone let me know. The problem im having is when i fire it up it only fires on what sounds like 3 cylinders. When i hold the key to the crank position ( iknow, not too good on the starter) it fires on remaining cylinders but pops and kinda sounds like timing is off.(computer controlled). Im pretty good with optimaxes but this is my first hpdi. Manual is on order so i dont know wich wire to check to see if ive got adequate computer voltage. Any help would be much appreciated!
