Had a problem on the water yesterday. I'll just get straight to it.
At the ramp everything was normal. Got half way across a cove and decided to stop for a min and when I shifted to Nuetral it kept going foward. Figured thats fine at least I still have foward so I can get back.
Got to where I was going and shifted to reverse to keep from hitting the duck blind I was intending on hunting. Shifted fine but when I went to shift back to nuetral.....well it kept going backward.
Set up and hunted and forgot all about it until it was time to leave and I worried that it wouldn't start because there was no nuetral. It started fine but was still locked in reverse. After checking all the cables, it looked like all was good other than I still had no nuetral or foward gear. Tryed to get back in reverse but part of the river had to much current and I got lucky that someone was coming through and stop to tow me back...
My question is: Has anyone ever had this problem and what was the solution? I don't want to take it to the shop if it's something simple that "I can do myseslf. Any info is very much appreciated.
