2003 50 hp Johnson

Engine only runs on top cyl. Rebuilt carbs.,checked compression (good). Checked reed valves (good). Spark jumps 7/16". Checked pulse limiter(good). HELP

Squirt some premix fuel in the lower carb once and see what happens.

I tried that with no change. The only thing I haven't tried is applying 15"mg to pulse limiter and check for crankcase leaks. To me I think for some reason the reed valves aren't opening up. I know the reed valves are good because I pull the assy. out and checked them. They are seated good and opens easily. Do you know where I can find how to set up the linkage and timing?

The pulse limiter is a safety device for the VRO pump.-----Perhaps the bottom seal on the crankshaft is damaged.----Perhaps the bottom cylinder sleeve is out of position.-
