2003 90tlr rough idle..

Hello everyone.....Looking for help on a 03 yamaha 90tlr...at idle it sputters, almost cutting off, about once every 4 seconds.....this problem seems to go away once I raise the RPMs above 1500....anyone else experienced this? Anyone know the fix? I'm thinking my carbs might need cleaning/adjustment?

Good idea. replace fuel filters, clean carbs, sync and link.
