2003 Century 32WA with 225 H.P. Would Transom Support 300 H. P. Engines?

Hello all, I own a 2003 Century 32WA with factory twin Yamaha 225 H.P. motors, very underpowered in our opinion, you either go slow or at full trottle, nothing in the middle and we are thinking about repowering with newer Yamaya 300 H. P., would the transom, designed for 225 H. P. "hold" the extra power?

What's the capacity plate say it's rated for? 500hp? So twin 250s.... it's nearly 20yrs old. Optimal WOT w current props?

Boat is rated to 500 HP

HP is a function of hull design, not weight or strength of transom.
