2003 Controls and outlets, Compatibility?

Im looking at buying a tracker targa 2003 18ft for real cheap... without a motor.. Its rigged for a mercury motor.. can anyone compile a list of motors that will be compatible with the 2003 controls and plugs. and any other probems i may encounter.. the boat is rated for a 175.<br />thanks<br /><br />

If you get a newer motor, the plug to the engine will fit. If you get an older motor, you can get a harness adapter to fit the older style recepticle on the motor. That's what I did last year. I have a 1977 850 with a brand new control. The after market harness adapters are cheaper by a bunch than the Mercury.

The cables for the throttle and the shift will be the same.
