This spring upon changing plugs in my DT150, I found the port bottom cylinder had rust all over the electrode of the plug. Put new plug in and went to the local lake to see if it was just condensation from winter storage or if it was a bigger problem. I had properly fogged motor the fall before. Motor ran rough and white smoke billowed out of the hub and water over flow hole on back of motor. I assumed head gasket had failed. Since boat was still under warranty I took to dealer that afternoon. Dealer looked at rusty plug and also figured head gasket. Upon going back to dealer to give copies of the warranty paper work a few days later, he said the pressure test of the water system showed no head gasket leak, but that the same cylinder was full of fuel and oil. He said that if it wasn't firing correct that they could suck water into the cylinder and that's why probably there was water in there in the first place. He said that it was probably a bad thermostat or an injector. Since I owned the boat, upon taking off under any amount of throttle, it kinda stutters and then kinda cleans itself out to run normal. It then leaves a large blue cloud of smoke from where I took off from. I figure this has something to do with the propblem but dealer does not think so.

Question 1- How would water be sucked into the cylinder other from a head gasket leak or from through the exhaust? I figure that 5 cylinders firing correctly would out weigh 1 not working to have water sucked up from the prop.

Question 2- With having an extended warranty that makes an inspector come out to verify the problem before they can fix the problem, the dealer will not do much to take the engine apart to see what the problem might be. Other than myself tearing into this thing how can I get him to check the head gaskets or to see if a head or block is cracked?

Thanks in advance for any ideas or replys!
