2003 honda bf 90 idles good stalls when put into gear.

My Honda bf90 idles fine but stalls when put into gear. Can squeeze the fuel bulb and then it will not stall (DOES RUN ROUGH) when you put it into gear. Runs great once you get into gear. Help please.

If you can keep it running with squeeze bulb then you have fuel pump trouble.
If you have a fairly soft fuel line to tank it should suck flat if you pinch line closed at tank as fuel pump trys to suck more fuel.

Thanks for replying.
Would a bad pump not also be noticeable at other rpm's. Once I get the boat moving the motor comes up to speed normally and will turn 6000 rpms.
