2003 Lund Alaskan Help!

I have a 2003 18' lund alaskan and it looks like the gunnels have a slot in them that looks like the sport track system and was wondering if what year they started making the sport track system or if the gunnels are designed for another type of use?

I think you're referring to where the fishing rod holders go. The Lund at the dealer I was at had a rod holder in the slot. Makes it so you can slide the rod holder anywhere along the slot. Not sure what year they started that.

Don't know the year, but my 2004 Alaskan hull has the same thing, and it is really handy. Have 4 sport track bases for rod holders, and the flexibility is fantastic.
