2003 Mercury 20 hp gas line

I haven't been able to hook up my gas line to the motor. Is it a worn out part, or my thumbs' arthritis? Serious question.....

I've tried 3 or 4 types of pliers too, no luck.

there are 2 different versions of that connector. Use your Serial # and order the correct one.

Is there a special tool needed to install the fitting?

No special tools.. I believe it clips on. Just be sure it’s seated.
