Looking at the motor from the back, go to the left side, and about in the middle is a little arm that controls the throttle, and there is a screw there on the bottom for the idle, and the one on top is for high speed. Turn it clockwise to increase the idle, and you could also do that while the engine was running to hear for what you think is good. The RPMs at idle should be set at 650rpms.
How do you adjust the idle on a 2003 Mercury 225 EFI. And what should the idle speed be set at RPM wise?
