I have a new to me this week 2003 Mercury optimax V6 150 EFI.
Boat has been sitting for about 2 years, its fuel injected. New Gas. New 2 stroke oil in the injection tank, bled the oil injection system up to the tank on the side of the engine. Now my problem is when the motor runs idling, it smokes like crazy and just drinks oil.
is it a bad oil pump, bad electronics? It will beep 4 beeps while running.
Do the electronic oil pumps go bad?
Not sure what to look for next since ive never worked on an EFI oil injected.
