First time boater, buying a 2003 Parti Kraft, 24 ft with a Yamaha 50hp 4stroke. Couldn't find any manuals etc., and no reviews. Any input on how they perform? Thanks!

First I would like to welcome you to our world. The Parti Craft you bought is not a good choice for barefoot skiing. That being said it is a wonderful choice for almost
everything else ie. fishing, cruising, beer drinking, barbequing, making children smile.....

If you do a search for Yamaha outboard motors you should find as site with lots of boat/motor performance reports.
In my various observations of pontoon reports the longer boats seem to be as fast or better than shorter pontoons 18 to 20 ft.
with relatively small hp say 50 or so.
Looked up 50 hp Yamaha motors Longest toons were 22 ft shortest 20ft. speed ranged from 17-19 mph.all up weight was about 2500 lbs.
My research indicates the odds are your 24 can do as well as these smaller boats.Especially with added weight.
A pontoon rides very smoothly and for their bulk they handle fairly well around the docks.
Wind can be a problem pushing the boat around while trying to dock.
That big deck can lend itself to all kinds of imaginative designs.

Welcome aboard Dacbrown. I own a 2010 26ft Parti Kraft Wet Bar Series. I have made many memories with this boat. Evinrude E-Tech 115. You will have fun. :)
