Hey guys, I have a new to me 2003 stingray 230lx. Just had it serviced and the shop told me the bilge pump was not working and a pretty big project to replace due to its location. It’s trailered for this year so I am not too concerned about it. What I am wondering is if this boat has more than one bilge pump on it. There is what looks like a bilge port on the starboard bow and one on the starboard stern. Trying to familiarize myself with this vessel.

Bilge pump is not that hard to replace because the old one does not need to be totally removed. Go to local hardware store and get a piece of flat stock aluminum, maybe 1.5 to 2 inch wide stuff.

Bust out old pump anyway you need to and remove hose and wires going to it.

Attach new pump to flat stock and connect hose and wires. Now bend flat stock so it lays flat on bilge deck with hose connected. Then attach flat stock to hull stringers to keep in place.

No need to remove motor or anything else

The stern one is likely the bilge pump, and the bow port likely a cooler drain. Easy peasy, follow the hose.

The thru-hulls could be drains and not pump locations. Look into the guts of the boat to see what you have for pumps.
