2004 200hp evinrude starting/fuel problem

Motor has always ran great. 3 moths ago while comeing in from offshore 41mph the motor just shut down and check engine lght came on solid. I had to be towed in. Replaced the two fuel filters, 1 in the boat and 1 in the motor aswell as the primer bulb. Engine started and ran great again , up until 3 weeks ago. Running about 35mph the motor started sputtering and then shut down . check engine light on solid again. Had to be towed in. I know that I am getting fuel atleast up to the filter in the motor. Any suggestions? I just need to get it running so that I can trade the boat in on a 2012 model.

Check eng lite on says fuel restriction someplace. Have you checked your spark when it quits ?

seams to have spark.

Does the fuel pump have two outlet lines or one? If two, then one is not pumping.

How did you check your spark ??

It tries to ignite and start when you crank it. If there is a good way to check I am all ears.

Buy an open air gap spark tester at a parts house for around $8.00, set it to 7/16 " and see if the spark will junp it.
