hi, guys, I have a 2004 225HP DFi and the two upper cylinder where no firing, on the water we noticed the misfire and started checking pulling the plug wires and noticed the two upper had no spark.. at idle or highter speed , took it to the dealer and mechanic said the the he had a good spark, and the scanner didnt found any spark problem.. fuel pump was making some unusual noise , mechanic says that could be fuel pressure problem and do to this the computer disconnect the two upper coils as a protection , still waiting for the mec fuel pressure diagnostic .. could this be the reason? .. even at idle we didn't had spark

any other idea, possible Computer, coils. two at the same time, don't think so, maybe ground to the coils, for sure the mechanic doesn't want to replace the computer , mec says he is getting a nice long blue spark

You said there was no spark on upper cylinders on the water.----Now the mechanic says there is ---" nice long blue spark "--------So is it an injector problem ?

The EMM does not sense the fuel pressure, so therefore cannot "the computer disconnect the two upper coils as a protection".

Another FYI, is that there are 3 fuses in the PDP that protect the injector voltage supply.
They are paired, in that if one fuse blows, it knocks out 2 injectors.
The pairings are as follows:

1 and 4 on one 10 amp fuse
2 and 5 on one 10 amp fuse
3 and 6 on one 10 amp fuse

You can see that there is no pairing for cyl 1 and 2.

Also, if an injector fuse blows, or the harness opens for some reason, the EMM stores a code, and the check engine light will come on.

The individual fuse locations are too difficult to actually describe on this board. Best to buy an OEM manual, PN 5005649.

thanks for your response but the injectors have power at least I could heard the upper ones clicking , no the correct way to test them, I even unplug the two upper injectors and notice the difference .. .. what the motor didn't had is spark to the two upper cylinders .. i even put my finger under the boot and nothing

Check the harness connections at EMM and if no go its time to send it off for testing/repair.

I know. I just said it was a FYI. I know it doesn't apply to your problem.
